This shirt is crafted from a Tunisian melhafa - a traditional cloth used by women as a wrap in the southern region of Djerba. It tells a story of a forgotten past, now reimagined into an intentional reminder of the history and heritage that reverberates throughout the region. These textiles were personally sourced from a textile shop in the heart of Tunis. Run by a pair of brothers - Abdou and Yousef - this pair of shirts are an homage to their hospitality and knowledge as they explained the cultural importance of every textile in their shop.
