Clan Royal

This jacket is made from a wool throw blanket hailing from a mill in Scotland. Woven sometime around 1970, this blanket featured the original tag that is now included on the jacket as a nod to its former life. The piece carries a traditional tartan pattern, specifically a variation of the Gordon clan - one of Scotland’s oldest and most storied Highland families.

Tartan patterns were historically more than decoration; they were identifiers of region, kinship, and allegiance. Each clan’s colors and arrangement told a story of lineage and landscape, and the Gordon tartan is no exception.
